Of MEITEC’S many concerns, none are more important than the safety of our most valuable asset, our employees. The prevention of injury is therefore a primary management responsibility, which must be shouldered by the corporate HS&E Department, each supervisor, leadman and every employee throughout the MEITEC organization.

Our goal and objective as a company is the total elimination of injuries, near misses and the protection of the environment in which we work. It is a challenging objective to which we must all strive. There is no doubt that working safe has great value to our Company, our employees and to the owners and operators for which we work.

MEITEC is committed to implementing an effective Safety Management Program to achieve these goals. The program consists of formal training for management, supervisory personnel and leadmen. A comprehensive safety orientation and short service program has been designed for all new employees and is complemented by our detailed site-specific safety orientations. Weekly on-the-job safety meetings and daily job safety analysis are held to provide training and safety instruction to all employees prior to their task assignments. Each employee is drug screened in accordance with our DOT / NCMS qualified alcohol and substance abuse program.

All employees must be committed to our safety program if it is to be effective. Individuals with outstanding safety records will be recognized and rewarded for their efforts. We will provide all necessary tools and equipment, encouragement and management support to achieve excellence in safety performance so that MEITEC’S safety program will be a standard by which others in our industry will be measured.
