These power barges will become the world's largest floating power generation facility when installed side-by-side.
The two power barges were built at Signal International's shipyard in Orange, Texas.
The generation facility is comprised of two floating power plants and each is installed with a single GE 7FA gas turbine generator, each having an output of 171 MW (ISO).
- Inspect all cables and cable tray.
- Ensure proper size cable dependant upon the load.
- Ensure proper grounding.
- Record all cable certification, to include in the turn-over folders, and to submit to ABS.
- Verify scope drawings, and red-line as needed.
- Verify all terminations, and perform point to point tests prior to energizing circuit.
- Ensure all cables are tested (megaohm), and results are reported.
- Schedule and record the results of third-party primary and secondary testing of the high amperage circuit breakers.
- Verify discrepancies have been cleared throughout the course of the job.
- Pre-commission systems and Report.
- Build turn-over folders, to include scope drawings, equipment located in system, all test results (megohm, point to point, primary and secondary injection, FAT, etc...), all pre-commission checklists, and punch-list.
